What a Public Tasting Evening Actually Looks Like

Our public tasting nights are open to anyone who books a place — no membership required, no prior knowledge assumed. What is required is a genuine curiosity about wine, about Mallorca, and about the people who shape both.

Each evening is built around a specific producer or theme. The winemaker — or in the case of our champagne evenings, a representative of one of the twenty exclusive Champagne houses we collaborate with — presents their work in person. This is not a lecture. It is a conversation, conducted over several pours, about soil and climate and decision-making and the particular stubbornness that serious viticulture demands.

Alongside the wines, our kitchen prepares tapas conceived specifically to accompany each pour. Traditional Mallorcan recipes, interpreted with precision, served at the moment they make most sense in the sequence of the evening. The pairing is never incidental. It is part of the argument the evening is making about terroir, about the relationship between what grows from the ground and what ends up on the table.

The Producers You Will Encounter

Aurum Lounge works with more than fifty boutique winemakers — the kind of producers who rarely appear in hotel wine lists or airport duty-free catalogues. Many are family estates, some spanning multiple generations, others representing a newer wave of Mallorcan viticulture that is quietly redefining what the island is capable of producing. Alongside them, twenty exclusive Champagne houses from the Champagne region present their work here, giving our guests access to one of the most serious and considered champagne selections anywhere on the island.

Aurum Lounge is also home to the Associació Kinsky Collection of Modern Art in Port Andratx. Vernissages and exhibitions are woven into our calendar alongside the tastings, which means that on any given evening you might find yourself moving between a conversation about carbonic maceration and a work of contemporary art that seems, somehow, to be in dialogue with it.
